Get trashed, literally, in LKF

A giant orange rubbish bin plummets 20 meters, hitting 30-year old woman on the face.

Close to midnight on Saturday, partygoers were smacked sober when a public bin was thrown off a small alley on Wyndham Street, landing onto a crowd of people on the outdoor area of a Thai restaurant on Wing Wah Lane. Apple Daily reports the police arrived promptly to the scene but failed to find any evidence or anyone suspicious, so simply recovered and returned the bin to its original location.

According to The Standard, sources speculate that the bin was thrown by an angry drunk or resident discontent with the frequent noise of rowdy partygoers. There aren’t that many residential buildings in LKF, but the Environmental Protection Department receives about three to five complaints a day from those living in the area. Chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong association, Allan Zeman, however, said he has been living in the area for 35 years and has not received any complaints.
