Videos: Egg thrown at Financial Secretary, hell money and tomato at CE

Leung Kwok-hung, League of Social Democrats legislator defended his fellow party member who threw an egg that hit Financial Secretary, John Tsang at a public forum on Saturday.

Tsang received a hit with an egg on the head during a public consultation session on political reform – he was sitting right next to Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying at the time.

Leung says that the egg was not aimed at Tsang and wasn’t meant to injure anyone. Right after the egg-throwing incident, Tsang was asked whether he thinks the egg was misdirected at him, media reports say the CE had quickly asked him to keep quiet.

Hmmmm we wonder who the egg was really aimed at!

Well only the person who thinks it was directed at would be scared, right? Apparently after the incident the CE beefed up security so all those entering Tai Kok Tsui community center, where the forum was held on Sunday, was searched for items like eggs and tomatoes.

League of Social Democrats’ Leung Kwok-hung aka Long Hair, even though wheelchair-bound, was closely monitored.

Guards confiscated activist Lui Yuk-lin’s pineapple and 10 eggs but one plastic tomato managed to get through security but was prevented by plainclothes officers from being hurled. People Power and Civic Passion members however, managed to throw Chinese hell money and a yellow ball at Leung, though the money reached Leung, the ball didn’t.

The forum was delayed as protestors chanted asking Leung to step down and media reports claim about 650 people gathered outside the forum venue yesterday.
