Dreaming of a white Christmas in Hong Kong? It’s possible!

Many of us have dreamed of a white Christmas in Hong Kong, but it’s just wishful thinking given Hong Kong’s subtropical climate. However, evidence shows that it has snowed in Hong Kong before! Can you believe it?

Apple Daily looked up records and found that Hong Kong had really snowed before, but the last time was in 1975, which was 38 years ago.

According to the information of the Hong Kong Observatory, the lowest temperature in the history of Hong Kong was recorded on Jan. 18, 1893 at 0 degrees Celsius. Four days of snowing were recorded during 1967 to 1975, but no signs of snow was found after that period.
