To express their anger towards the agency replacing its Chinese language newspaper chief editor, Kevin Lau, columnists at Ming Pao have decided to leave their columns blank.
About four writers from the Ming Pao newspaper refused to write their sections, and last week the former head of the Democratic Party, Martin lee, also left his column blank to protest what he believed to be a grave threat to editorial independence.
Since being transferred, Lau has expressed that he respects Ming Pao decision.
