Recovery will be long and difficult for former Ming Pao editor

Suspects captured on CCTV

Ex-Ming Pao editor, Kevin Lau, who was brutally attacked with a cleaver in Sai Wan Ho will be facing a long and difficult recovery period of about two years.

Doctors reveal that because nerves in Lau’s legs have been damaged, Lau will be wheelchair-bound and need to undergo intense physiotherapy and training before being able to walk again.

Lau claims that his nerves need to grow 700mm in total so he’ll need them to regrow 1mm each day for him to be able to walk again in about two years.

Police are still looking for the two suspects involved in the attack.
