SOULS OF HONG KONG – Hans, a retired electrical engineer who moved to Hong Kong in 1987, was photographed at Aberdeen Street in Central. We asked him to give a piece of advice to young working people, “If you want to compete here, you have to be really hardworking and down-to-earth. I know most Hong Kong people are diligent…that’s important if you want to succeed in your career.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
