5 million people expected to cross mainland-HK border over Easter

The Immigration Department has predicted that during the coming Easter holidays, over five million people will travel in and out of Hong Kong, of which 70 percent will be through the mainland-Hong Kong border.

Traffic will peak on Easter Friday, with 476,000 people expected to come in and out of Hong Kong, and on Sunday, 433,000 people are expected. The Immigration Department has arranged to open more counters to manage the traffic and flow of people.
