Manila mayor in Hong Kong next week to try and resolve 2010 hostage tragedy issues

It will be the first Philippine official to visit Hong Kong since the sanctions imposed in Feb. 2014. 

Manila mayor, Joseph Estrada, is said to be in Hong Kong next week and has planned to extend an official apology as mayor.

Bernardito Ang, Manila councillor, has confirmed Estrada’s trip to Hong Kong and that a meeting has been arranged with Estrada, Hong Kong officials and relatives and victims of the hostage incident.
