Acclaimed jockey Matthew Chadwick was fined HK$3,000 for damaging a coach after a party in Sai Kung last year, when he took a coach with more than 20 Jockey Club staff members and friends. Unhappy that the driver did not stop at the Wu Kai Sha MTR station like Chadwick had asked him to because the driver forgot, Chadwick hit the driver.
Later, when Chadwick and his wife were dropped off, he damaged the bus by breaking the glass of the emergency door. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined. 23-year-old Chadwick and his 21-year-old wife, Wai, are expecting their first child in July.
