66-year-old Leung Chi-sheung, a retired principal of Kat O Public School, is put behind bars by the Fan Ling Magistrates’ Court for eight months for indecently assaulting a 15-year-old student.
The Standard reports that Leung had kissed a student’s cheek and forehead and caressed her thighs during a tutorial class last year. The girl had to testify in court and recalled feeling like a prostitute, being subjected to the harassments or lose her free tutorials.
Leung was charged for two counts of indecent assault and the court declared a heavy sentencing was necessary as a deterrent, to prevent copycat crimes. The court also said the sexual abuse of children is a serious crime and court must protect the innocent.
