HK teens who vandalised Taipei apartment pleaded guilty in tears

Taipei Court

The two Hong Kong teenage girls who trashed an apartment in Taipei by destroying all its appliances and leaving mountains of rubbish, including used sanitary pads, were tried in court yesterday in Taiwan.

According to the Apple Daily, the two girls sobbed as they pleaded guilty. One of the girls apologised to the landlord and said that she vandalised the apartment because she was greedy.

The pair pleaded with the judge that they have dreams and they promise to be good citizens in the future. The judge said that Taiwan is a welcoming place for foreigners, but the action of these teens have caused difficulties for the Taiwanese. The verdict is yet to be announced.
