Woman unable to move right side of her body after dental surgery

A 24-year-old woman with a serious under bite, affecting her chewing and talking, underwent dental surgery to correct her jawbone.

However, six days after the surgery, she was unable to move the right side of her body. Doctors later confirmed she suffered a stroke causing the paralysis and she underwent emergency brain surgery, and then another surgery to reduce her blood clots a month later. Her family believe the dental surgery caused her stroke and thus her paralysis.

Apple Daily reports, the woman was wheelchair bound after surgery and was recently only able to walk with the assistance of a stick, but is still unable to open her left palm. The woman and her family is now trying to get an independent doctor to prove the dental surgery caused the stroke in order to seek compensation in court.
