Manila mayor in HK to resolve bus hostage crisis, son in town for fun?

Although Manila’s mayor, Joseph Estrada’s trip to Hong Kong has been a fruitful one – successfully healing the rift between Hong Kong and the Philippines over the 2010 bus hostage crisis, his son, who accompanied him on the diplomatic trip have been criticised for being in the city for other experiences.

Juan Emilio, one of 12 children of Estrada’s, has been accused by the SCMP for not taking the diplomatic trip to Hong Kong seriously, after being caught posting a selfie on his Instagram account as well as looking for friends on Facebook to hang-out with while in Hong Kong.

Do you think it’s appropriate for Juan Emilio to be taking selfies and looking for friends to hang out with on a diplomatic trip to discuss such a delicate issue?

Check out his personal blog, Facebook, and Twitter, Instagram and let us know!
