As part of the government’s “Conserving Central” initiative, PMQ will partner with AllRightsReserved to bring “1600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong: Creativity Meets Conservation” to Hongkongers.

Organised by the WWF in 2008 and created by French artist Paulo Grangeon, 1,600 papier-mâché, made from recycled materials, pandas will visit 10 Hong Kong landmarks to promote conservation and highlight the importance of sustainable development. The pandas have previously toured France, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Taiwan for over 100 exhibitions but will make its mark in Hong Kong for the first time this June. Especially for the Hong Kong tour, Paulo Grangeon will make four papier-mâché pandas uniquely for Hong Kong.

The current landmarks the pandas will be exhibited at are the Hong Kong International Airport, the giant Tian Tan Buddha, Tsing Ma Bridge, Shatin Racecourse, the Hong Kong Coliseum, the Clock Tower at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza, Victoria Park and Ocean Park to visit real-life pandas, Ying Ying, Le Le, An An and Jia Jia.
