A photo of a passenger resting on a hammock in an MTR carriage has gone viral.
According to the SCMP, other commuters were not too pleased with the passenger snoozing in his private hammock across the compartment and called MTR staff to intervene.
An MTR spokesman admitted the incident happened on an Island Line train Monday evening. The man in the hammock was approached at North Point station at 11:30pm. The MTR Staff General Association chairman commented that setting-up a hammock on the MTR could be in violation of MTR by-laws as it causes a nuisance and or danger, however, no charges have been made against the man on this occasion.
