2 Fast, 2 Furious: Compilation video of 2014 HK car crashes

The people who brought you the compilation video of 2013 car crashes in Hong Kong are back with their video for 2014. Unfortunately for Hong Kong this year’s video is more dramatic, but we suppose the silver lining is that it makes for slightly better entertainment for the rest of us:

At several points in the video we get to witness some sort of drifting practice, where one or two cars rev their engines as they drift around a roundabout, sometimes in broad daylight. A little 2 fast, 2 furious for Hong Kong’s roads, we think.

One of the more dramatic moments comes when a taxicab starts fishtailing out of nowhere, and hits the divider on a highway at 2:49, and 6:00 when an absentminded van gets hit by a light rail train as it crossed the train tracks.

There are also quite a few accidents involving motorcycles. So motorcycles, be careful! And drivers, look out for motorcycles!

At  5:10 we see what looks like the aftermath of an accident involving a truck that was carrying cases of beer (tragedy!) and at 5:20, we get to see some remarkable idiocy involving two cars and too much pride in a tunnel.

The best part is definitely the Hongkongers’ commentary and shocked exclamations, which is usually the best part of any event in this city.
