VIDEO: Mooooooo! How to eat a whole cow in one day in Hong Kong.

In a somewhat morbid take on the travel and food show, Discover Hong Kong, a Hong Kong Tourism Board initiative, produced a video about “enjoy[ing] a whole cow”. They take you around the city to show you where to eat different cow parts, as you cross off the different anatomical sections of a cow you’ve successfully consumed from a cow diagram. From hot pot, to steamed milk, to dim sum, they cover it all. Vegetarians and vegans are definitely not the target audience.

We’re all about being mindful of where our food comes from, but still, there’s something off about going on a mission to eat every conceivable piece of an animal that you can eat in Hong Kong. That being said, all the food looks pretty mouth-watering…

Eccentric, dangly earring-wearing, blue-haired chef Alvin Leung is our host for this segment. He has three Michelin stars so you can trust that he knows what he’s talking about, and he’s not shy about it either: “I do to Chinese food what Picasso did to art”, a bold caption says in the video.
