A woman claims that she found a cockroach at the bottom of the meal she was about to finish at a Maxim’s MX restaurant yesterday evening. She had ordered a baked pork chop dish as well as a red bean drink at the branch on Lockhart Road in Causeway Bay.
Above are the photos the woman allegedly took of her meal. It is difficult to discern what exactly the object in the photo is, though it does appear it could be some sort of insect.
She says that after she showed the manager he told her she could pick anything she want from the menu, but he nor any other staff member apologized. The woman declined, as she no longer wanted to eat anything at the restaurant, including the rest of her drink.
The woman says that she like she had been discriminated against for being a foreign domestic worker and that she was disappointed no one apologised.
