A 26-year-old woman has been brought to court for calling her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend 192 times from Jan. 1 to Jan. 29, dialling her number up to 70 times in one day. Sometimes, she’d hang up and call again before the other woman even had the chance to pick up. When the woman did answer, she would often stay silent or, when she was in the mood, embark on an angry tirade.
She’s not new to this game. In February, she pleaded guilty to the charge of criminal intimidation after she sent text messages to her ex-boyfriend threatening to kill him and his family, with some of the messages including pictures of his penis (probably shouldn’t have let her take those pictures). She was ordered to perform 240 hours of community service.
Despite her crazy antics, the defendant’s attitude towards the most recent court case is surprisingly zen: “If I’ve done wrong then I’ve done wrong, there’s no escaping it.” She’s pleading guilty.
