We’re shocked. Chris Hemsworth was in town last month and he didn’t give us a call. What a jerk!
The actor, most famous for the playing Thor, the god of thunder himself, in The Avengers and well, Thor, was the guest of honour at a private dinner organised by Prestige Magazine for Hong Kong’s “most beautiful and influential people”. Now we’re really confused as to why the Coconuts Hong Kong team wasn’t invited!
Doesn’t seem like we missed out on much though. In the video below, you can see Hemsworth being charming and friendly to all attendees, but you can’t quite shake off the feeling that it was all just very awkward: a forced smile here, a polite nod there, his eyes glazing over.
We guess that’s inevitable when you’re paid to be paraded in front of a bunch of socialites for no particular reason. At one point he was taking photos with attendees next to an expensive sports car, which hits home the fact that they’re both there for the same reason: to make other people look rich, cool, and important.
(We still want to meet him though. Please, please, please invite us next time.)
