VIDEO: Crazy Russian climbers return to Hong Kong to hijack skyscraper billboard

Remember those crazy Russian dudes who blessed us with mind-boggling photos and videos when they scaled some of Hong Kong’s tallest buildings back in February? Well they’re back, with an even bigger, cheekier and awesomely orchestrated feat.

Vitaliy Raskalov, Vadim Makhorov and a couple of other masked crusaders from On The Roofs released this video yesterday, seemingly showing the rebellious bunch breaching emergency exits and climbing up ladders clearly only meant for maintenance to reach a billboard projecting GAC’s logo across the city from Causeway Bay.

Armed with nothing but GoPros, a laptop and a USB, the guys appear to have hacked into the billboard’s system to replace the ad with images of their climb and the question “What’s Up Hong Kong?”.

After some selfies, high fives and a change of clothes, the covert climbers make a mockery of Hong Kong security by casually exiting the building the way they came in and melting into the crowds of Causeway Bay.

This video cannot be independently verified (blah, blah, blah), so did anyone actually see this? With the notably high production values and some footage that looks like it was taken from a helicopter, we have a feeling this little jaunt might be sponsored by some smart advertising company that knows the value of viral. We will see.
