Meet Fuzzy P, Hong Kong’s pro-democracy hedgehog

We don’t like to take sides here at Coconuts HK, but when we were challenged to dress up our in-house hedgehog in the vein of Hong Kong’s Democracy Dogs, we just found yellow was more his colour.

Fuzzy P – a painfully shy/rudely dismissive rescue hedgehog from SPCA – mainly keeps himself to himself, rarely sticking his super-sniffy nose into anything other than a fresh tin of Whiskers. Yep, he eats cat food!

He did become especially spiky however when we tried to squeeze him into a blue pro-Beijing jumpsuit. We compromised by sprinkling a few meal worms (he eats those too) around a paper umbrella we taped to a copy of HK Magazine (hi, guys!). He seemed to respond to that much better, so… what can we say?

If you’ve got a pet with a political persuasion, be it blue or yellow, we’d love to see your photos. Send them to info@coconuts.co, because animals are people too.
