PHOTOS: Bailiffs remove Occupy Central barricades in Admiralty

Today at around 10:15am, bailiffs started removing the barricades that were blocking the roads in front of CITIC Tower in Admiralty. There was a media frenzy with at least 100 reporters, but few protesters in sight. The police did not have to take action either, besides addressing some protesters’ demands to know to where the injunction applied to exactly.

Pro-democracy lawmaker Albert Ho showed up, who, as a lawyer, decried the removal of certain barricades unnecessary since they were not blocking the roads. Joshua Wong, the leader of Scholarism, also made an appearance, demanding to know why the authorities were removing the same barricades.

In the end, the barricades were removed without much drama, besides the crowds of journalists jostling with each other to get the best angle.
