More footage of violent confrontations between police and protesters after last night’s LegCo break-in

SocRec, an independent media organisation, has posted several videos of last night’s unrest, taken by reporter Daniel Cheung. At around 1am, protesters broke a Legislative Council Complex window and entered the building before police intervened. Pepper spray was used in the ensuing confrontations.

This video was taken at 1:33am, shortly after the break-in.

The caption for the following video, taken at 4:25am, says the police raised their red warning flag (“Stop Charging or We Use Force”) before delivering what they promised, using batons and pepper spray to push protesters back. It also says that in the middle of the video, two women are seen being pushed to the ground. Protesters said some women sustained head injuries, though the camera person was unable to confirm whether that refers to those shown in the video.

The following video was taken at 4:36am and shows police using shields and batons to push protesters away from the LegCo building.

SocRec also posted photos of the aftermath, taken at 12:30pm today.
