Joshua Wong, the leader of Scholarism, and Lester Shum, the deputy secretary-general of the Hong Kong Federation of Students, have been arrested in Mong Kok as the police and bailiffs continue to clear the streets after last night’s violent clashes, in which 80 people were arrested.

Venus Wu, a video journalist for Reuters, tweeted the following:

Isabella Steger, a journalist for the Wall Street Journal, reported that another HKFS leader, as well as a member of the League of Social Democrats, had also been arrested:

HKFS wrote in a post on their Facebook page that Shum was arrested at 10:16am.
