SantaCon Hong Kong: This epic festive pub crawl will complete you (tomorrow!)

You’d better watch out, you’d better not cry, you’d better not pout, we’re telling you why: SantaCon is coming to town!

If you read that in your mind to the tune, you’re definitely in the Christmas spirit. And what better way to celebrate than to parade around Hong Kong (drunk) in Christmas (specifically Santa) gear? If that sounds like an absolute hoot to you, your Saturday (Dec. 13) plans have just been sorted – you’re going to SantaCon!

For those who’ve been living in Grinchville, SantaCon is a “non-denominational, non-commercial, non-political and non-sensical Santa Claus convention that occurs once a year for absolutely no reason”.

Join hundreds, possibly thousands, of others at 12 noon tomorrow at Discovery Forest (right above Central Ferry Pier 3) for an afternoon of alcohol-induced merriment as you head from bar to bar on an epic Christmassy crawl.

Holler out your favourite carol, don your finest red-and-white garb, and make a generous donation to Action Aid for their efforts to save the trouble-filled lives of million others. The latter is optional, but it sure does help create that warm fuzzy feeling that we all known the real Santa is blessed with.

So that’s that! Get the details here and get ready to let your hair/ beard down and remember the first rule of SantaCon: NEVER BREAK CHARACTER!!!

P.S. if you can’t join at the start, check the Facebook page tomorrow for the loose itinerary.
