Is this Hong Kong democracy activist really going to pay tax with 2,000 HKD2 cheques?

Do you remember us telling you about the new form of civil disobedience planned by Hong Kong pro-democracy advocates, whereby tax payers are encouraged to settle their bills in small instalments? Course you do.

Well one Hong Kong netizen seems to have taken this to the extreme, penning 2,000 cheques for just HKD2 each.

This Tweet, posted by Amberbrella (great handle) yesterday, shows an absolutely massive stack of what we can only assume are HKD2 cheques.

It’s all good and well attempting to “blockade” the government by wasting their time and shovelling a shitload of admin onto their desks, but surely this is also going to be a bit of a ball-ache for the time-constrained activist.

Not to mention the cost to the environment. Will somebody think of the trees?!
