A suspected car thief pulled a swift one at Tuen Mun Court last week, managing to slip away when the police weren’t looking and sneak to his girlfriend’s for a shower.
We thought it was just threats made in Law & Order, but maybe the showers in prison really are that bad!
Wong Chun-tin, 32, ran away while his accompanying officer was seemingly off in his own little world in the waiting room. He left the building via the public are of another court, reports the SCMP.
It took police a whole 12 hours of searching before they thought to look at Wong’s girlfriend’s house.
The 32-year-old has now pleaded guilty to one count of escape from lawful custody. The case has been adjourned until Jan. 7 to allow for a background report…. and maybe a long bath.
