Hong Kong social media site calls for police suicides, bomb making and parallel trader beatings

Hong Kong police say they are keeping a close eye on new social media pages that call on officers to kill themselves and incite arson, bomb-making and assault on parallel traders.

“Against Hong Kong Government” which has a Facebook page and a Tumblr blog, has posted pictures of graffiti saying “support policemen to kill themselves with guns” and “families of dirty police are all going to die”.

Pretty harsh stuff, we’re sure you’ll agree.

The blog also sports pictures of Hong Kong’s orange rubbish bins ablaze, as well as videos explaining how to make smoke grenades and “soda bombs”.

The latter basically just uses the Mentos method but with added lemon juice. Obviously we’re not condoning such behaviour, but the video is pretty dramatic. Wait for the second explosion!

The group also called on activists to join Hong Kong’s pro-democracy student groups’ protest activities on Christmas Eve, but encouraged them to set fire to rubbish bins, beat up parallel goods traders (who are usually mainlanders) and burn down their warehouses at the Sheung Shui border, just for good measure.

According to Ming Pao Daily, the police are monitoring the group and will make arrests under the random and wide-ranging law of “using a computer with dishonest intent” if they can find enough evidence.

Violators of the computer law could be jailed for five years, while anyone inciting violence or arson could face life imprisonment.
