Old Hong Kong man pretends to get hit by car in apparent scam, driver catches it all on video

“Ken Ken” posted a video to Facebook showing a Hong Kong scammer in action four hours ago, and it’s already racked up over 4,000 shares.

The video, shot by the driver, shows the car move a few inches towards an old man, who appears to be preoccupied with his phone in the middle of the street.

He then looks up, seems to realise a car is there, and falls to the ground for no apparent reason.

The prescient (or simply, jaded) driver was recording it all, and got out of the car with the camera still running.

“This old man is faking it!” narrates the driver.

“Faking it?” he replies.

“Yeah, I got it all on camera.”

The old man starts to look a bit unsure of himself, but perseveres with his con.

Nearby, a responsible citizen shouts out that the elderly man is a fraud, and that he saw that he fell down by himself.

“There’s a witness!” the driver yells to the scam artist.

Realising that maybe he won’t get his money after all, the old man slowly finally gets up, defeated.

Nice try, dude!
