Someone asked a bunch of Spaniards to locate Hong Kong on a map (VIDEO)

A teenager went to Marbella, a city in the south of Spain, and decided to film a video in which he asks random people on the street to locate the Fragrant Harbour on a map.

“I think Hong Kong is here, more or less,” says one woman.

She’s not too far off, and considering how confusing the featureless map is, we’re impressed.

The poor Spaniards and tourists, probably not expecting a pop geography quiz during a leisurely stroll, also put Hong Kong on Hainan Island and in North Korea, which, in the big scheme of things, is good enough.

Markian, 16-year-old American-French kid who lives in Hong Kong, also asks the random passersby what they think of the Umbrella Revolution.

Two Spanish teens seem clueless, while one Brit responds, “What is the Umbrella Revolution?”

Though they may not have heard of the term “Umbrella Revolution”, they did actually know something was up in Hong Kong; the teens were vaguely aware that students were protesting and that the government wouldn’t give into their demands, while the Brit is also able to explain the basics behind the unrest.

We’re sure the average Hongkonger knows diddly squat about Spanish politics, so two thumbs up for the residents of Marbella!
