Hong Kong police are investigating a suspected case of arson after a charred body was found in a building in Yuen Long yesterday.
The emergency services were called to the scene at around 10:30am on Thursday morning by a resident who reported hearing an explosion.
After taking around 35 minutes to quell the flames, which engulfed the entire building and two nearby vehicles, firefighters found the remains of a body inside.
According to the SCMP, no natural cause of the fire has been found, so police are treating it as arson and investigations are ongoing.
Neither the age nor the sex of the victim have been formally released.
