Next anti-parallel trading protest planned for Yuen Long this Sunday

Another anti-parallel traders protest has been planned for this weekend.

After two protests so far this month in the shopping centres and streets of Tuen Mun and Sha Tin resulted in police using pepper spray, it seems those campaigning against the smuggling of goods across the Hong Kong-China border haven’t had enough yet.

Another demonstration, this time in Yuen Long, has been planned for Sunday.

The rally was organised before Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung announced yesterday that he would bring up the question of reducing the number of mainland visitors to Hong Kong at his next meeting with Beijing.

Many anti-mainlander slogans have been heard at the recent protests.
