Hong Kong Politician: Limit Shenzhen residents to 365 visits a year, 366 in leap years

Hong Kong’s Liberal Party has vowed to urge Beijing to restrict the number of visits permitted per day for Shenzhen residents in a bid to quell rising unrest over parallel trading.

The group’s honorary chairwoman, Selina Chow, said visits should be limited to one a day, according to a repot by RTHK.

Chow claimed most of Shenzhen visitors, who can currently come and go as they please, are parallel traders, and suggested that restricting their movements could help soothe local tensions.

Hong Kong has seen two anti-parallel trader protests so far this month, with another planned for Sunday.
