Drink and learn with ‘Raising The Bar’: 10 professors, 10 bars, 1 night

Why confine learning to the ivory towers of academic institutions? And why not be get drunk while learning?

Raising The Bar aims to make drinking smarter, and smarting drinkier by merging the fine establishments of both academia and merry-making: 10 different professors will be giving lectures at 10 different bars in Central all on the same night of Tuesday, March 31.

Lecture titles range from “Hong Kong Food Culture in the Shadow of Gentrification” to “The Journey of Equality for Victims of Domestic Violence”, taking place at bars as different as Little Lab Central and Kee Club – so there’s really no excuse not to get a bit more educated on a weekday.

Raising The Bar was started in New York City, when 50 professors spoke at 50 different bars across the metropolis, and this will be its debut in Asia.
