Hong Kong’s Seeing Eye Dogs (COCONUTS TV)

Out of Hong Kong’s 170,000 visually impaired residents, 1,200 could highly benefit from having a guide dog – yet the city is home to only 20 of these furry companions at the moment. The Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Service (HKSEDS) is hoping to bring more guide dogs to the city.

In this video, Coconuts TV speaks to HKSEDS dog trainer Imen Tam. We also meet seeing eye dog user Walter Tsui, who says having a guide dog has changed his life, although Hongkongers still have a lot to learn about proper behaviour around the canines.
