Three years into his term, Chief Executive CY Leung urged voters to “vote out” pan-democratic lawmakers during a business forum this morning.
Leung sees these LegCo members’ filibustering attempts as disruptive.
The embattled chief exec predicted that the pan-dems would face “serious consequences” in the upcoming district and LegCo elections for their support of the Umbrella Movement, reports HKEJ.
CY had previously declined pan-dem lawmakers’ request to have a televised debate on political reform because of their “fundamentally different viewpoints”, according to HKEJ.
The chief executive has also stated that he has “not ruled out any possibilities” for running for a second term.
