A 27-year-old mother has been arrested after her four-year-old son fell from the window of a fourth-floor apartment in Yau Ma Tei.

According to witnesses, the Nepali boy hit antennas on the way down before landing face first on top of a car at around 4pm yesterday.

Luckily he survived and is now being treated for bone fractures at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The SCMP reports that the boy’s mother was unaware of the accident until police knocked on her door in Battery Street.

It is though the boy may have woken up from a nap and crawled through the open window.

After questioning, police arrested the mother for negligence.
