Kronenbourg 1664 makes every hour Happy Hour across Hong Kong for May!

Happy Hours are only happy if you’re the one making the most of them. If you’re stuck in the office while your mates lap them up without you, they’re anything but enjoyable.

But forget about the “It’s 5pm somewhere” excuse to drink. What if it could be Happy Hour, every hour, right when and where you need it?

As Hong Kong prepares to go all “français” for Le French May, lead sponsor Kronenbourg 1664 is stepping up in a attempt to make Hongkongers live more like the French – which apparently means having access to cheap booze, any time of the day or night.

Go the French! We don’t care what everyone says about you. We think you’re great.

As of May 1, Hongkongers will be able to use anyhour.com.hk to select one of 60 Hong Kong bars to enjoy Happy Hour prices at, even when their session is over. You can also use the site to invite friends to your Anyhour Happy Hour, as apparently it’s not so French to drink alone.

We leave that to the British.

Kronenbourg 1664 has not stopped there in trying to get us drunk, however. The generous beer brand will also be holding a series of pop-up soirées throughout May, where you’ll be able to grab a Kronenbourg 1664 Lager or Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc (that’s the girlie one) on the house while scoffing tasty snacks and tapping our toes to live bands.

The pop-up parties will be held at the following days and locations, with the exact times decided through an online poll to ensure they’re as convenient for as many hard working Hongkongers as possible.

Wednesday May 20 at 6° (55 Wyndham Street, Central)

Thursday May 21 at AT Restaurant & Bar (Union Mansion, No.33-35 Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui)

Wednesday May 27 at Prince Lounge (224-226 Tung Choi Street, Prince Edward)

Thursday May 28 at Club 97 (9 Lan Kwai Fong, Central)

And as if that’s not enough, The Krone has also teamed up with restaurants taking part in Le French GourMay (which surely needs no explanation), bringing carefully curated dishes from France to the table that, of course, go perfectly with a nice pint of a certain lager whose name we won’t mention.

Check out the Facebook page for more details, and have a decidedly merry (and French) May!
