Calling shopaholic philanthropists: Car-boot-sale-style Nepal charity drive at PMQ!

This Sunday, Canadians In Hong Kong (CIHK) will be collecting and selling new and gently used clothing, electronics and other thingamabobs to raise money for the Red Cross’ efforts in Nepal.

It’s going to be like a car boot sale/yard sale, but without the car boots or yards.

And if the posts on the Facebook event page are anything to go by, there’s going to be some fabulous stuff up for grabs. Lightly used Lacoste loafers anyone? The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (book)?

To top it all off, sponsors HK Liquor Store and Banoffee Pie (we like the sound of both of them) will be handing out free wine and snacks to fuel your selfless charitable endeavours.

If you need to make more room for your fabulous new purchases, Whatsapp Lily (6027-3811) with pictures of the things you can donate from your own home, and CIHK will pick them up from you.

You won’t find easier do-gooding this side of Christmas!
