Help find Milton! Blind rescue Chow Chow that can’t bark missing on Lamma Island

A Lamma resident is appealing for help to find her blind Chow Chow who went missing while walking off the lead earlier today.

Sheila McClelland says she is frantic with worry since two-year-old recent rescue Milton, who is blind and can’t bark, “inexplicably” disappeared on the hill before Pak Kok.

“I bent over to clean up someone else’s dog’s poo and he just suddenly wasn’t there,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

Milton was only rescued by Lifelong Animal Protection charity a few weeks ago from his sad life as a caged breeder.

Speaking to Coconuts HK, McClelland said, “He’s blind due to neglect. His eyes were left so scratched they were ulcerated and like frosted glass. The vet couldn’t even see his pupil, let alone the rest of his eyes.”

“He’s a very gentle dog who loves other dogs and people. Despite spending his entire life isolated in a cage he has adapted to his new social life like he was born to it.

“I only hope he is viewing this episode as just another interesting day, but I’m worried he is frightened and confused.”

If you find Milton or want to join the search party that’s currently out looking for him, please called Sheila on 6477-1492.
