Who is that girl I see? It’s Mulan! Back in Hong Kong!

In case you missed it last time, the tale of the original Chinese BAMF female warrior Mulan is coming back to the Hong Kong stage.

For the uninitiated, the legend of Mulan is one of those traditional folk tales about a peasant girl and her rise to glory.

But instead of becoming a princess like every other peasant girl in folk tale history, Mulan turns into a kickass warrior in an act of ultimate filial piety.

The Hong Kong Dance Company’s dance/drama injects an extra level of awesomeness to the dramatic story, with elaborate fight choreography, battle-chic costumes and multimedia stage effects.

There will also be Meet the Artists and autograph sessions after the 3pm performances on Saturday and Sunday.
