Cocobeats: Hong Kong’s 10 best music events this June

Kickstart your summer by updating your music snobbery! Unfortunately, Mika cancelled his show due to illness. Luckily, there are still plenty of good vibes and jams coming our way this month.

Eateatmon at Move On Live in April

Bunny Warren Showcase #37

Local Hong Kong indie music news blog, Bunny Warren, is featuring The Bonkers, Eateatmon, and 一般性 (JatBunSing) in their bi-monthly showcase. The Bonkers strives to create unique sounds slightly reminiscent of Explosions in the Sky while serving packaged statements about their dreams and… interestingly titled songs like “Stop Talking About My Hair! Say Something Else”. Eateatmon uses a mixture of synths, drums, bass and vocals – you know, your typical instruments, to create their musical atmosphere. JatBunSing describes their style as something of a blend of metal and alternative rock.
