17-year-old charged with rape of 11-year-old girl in a Sheung Shui Village

An unemployed 17-year-old teenager has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl on May 1 in a Sheung Shui village, reports Yahoo News.

The teen allegedly deceived the girl by luring her into his Sheung Shui residence under the pretense of retrieving cosplay outfits, and then proceeded to give her a drink that made her unconscious.

When the girl regained consciousness and left his house she allegedly discovered that her underpants were inside out and stained with blood, according to Apple Daily.

She later discussed the incident with a friend online, and her friend then alerted the victim’s school. Social workers from the school contacted the victim and accompanied her to alert the authorities.

When the case was brought to Fanling court today, the prosecution claimed that the young victim told the police she voluntarily had sex with the accused, reports Apple Daily.

The case was then adjourned to allow the victim to seek legal advice and the defendant was allowed to leave on bail. Proceedings will resume on August 5.
