Hong Kong hometown hangout service Grouvly sets up drinks between two groups of three friends. Unlike dating apps, it’s first and foremost about meeting new people – a social activity but with the possibility of romance.
Backed by a US$200,000 seed funding, the website targets young professionals from 25-36 years old and will soon be available as an app. By taking the pressure associated with blind dates out of the equation, it makes meeting new people a fun and casual experience.
