Classy lawmaker watched sexy videos on his phone during historical reform debate

Let’s give another round of applause to our lawmakers!

First, there was the pro-establishment LegCo members’ botched walk-out thing, then Regina Ip’s weird press conference tears. Now we have a third facepalm moment to add to our list of embarassments!

Perhaps debating the future of Hong Kong was a tad too dull for lawmaker Wong Ting-kwong, who was elected by the functional constituency representing the import and export industry.

Wong was apparently so bored that he took off his glasses, put in his earbuds, and proceeded to watch videos featuring scantily clad women in provocative poses on pool tables, reports Oriental Press.

We can all relate to that irresistible urge to watch sexy videos in public, during a very important work meeting, as an elected official, amirite?

EW.

The worst/best part is that it’s not the first time this has happened. Last year, lawmaker Albert Ho thought that the finance secretary’s annual budget speech would be a good time to start checking out sexy ladies on his iPad.

Ironically, it was revealed that Edward Snowden had hired Ho to be his solicitor while he was in Hong Kong. Yeah, we’re not sure internet privacy is Ho’s forte…

And yes, there’s a million jokes we could make about his name, but won’t.
