VIDEO: Pissed off typhoon commuter attacks bus drivers in Hong Kong

Last week’s Typhoon Linfa caused little damage in Hong Kong, but, boy, did it piss one commuter off!

After being told that bus services were suspended at around 7:15pm on Thursday night, one angry man seemingly decided to take his frustration out on the drivers… because they absolutely control the weather and the territory-wide rules attached to the subsequent warnings.

According to Apple Daily, this short video clip shows the climax of an attack on drivers by a man wanting to catch the 276A bus from the Tin Heng Estate terminus in Tin Shui Wai.

He reportedly pushed a 28-year-old driver, who tried to explain the situation, to the floor, then knocked another to the ground as he tried to intervene, and finally full on bitch-slapped the first driver who was still cowering in fear.

Only the slap and the man’s stomp off (mortally embarrassed wife in tow) was caught on camera.

The two drivers were taken to hospital while the couple disappeared into the night, presumably to get a taxi for the HKD1,000 minimum typhoon fee… just like everybody else.

Police are looking for a 1.75 metre-tall Chinese man aged between 40 and 50. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans at the time of the assault.
