Still Standing: Golden oldie Elton John coming to Hong Kong in November

If you’re too young to remember Elton John even from that Princess Diana song, we have no interest in knowing how old you are. You disgust us.

For everyone else of a respectable age: Elton John is coming to town!

The 68-year-old prolific singer-songwriter today announced that he will be visiting the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Nov. 24 as part of his All The Hits tour.

This will mark Elton’s sixth performance at the Wan Chai venue, having last graced us with his endearingly terrifying diva presence in 2012 on the tour marking the 40th anniversary of his breakthrough single Rocket Man.

On the same stint in Beijing, our Elton got into trouble with the Chinese authorities after giving a shout out-to Chinese dissident and artist Ai Weiwei. He was questioned after the concert and hasn’t played in mainland China since.

Ah well. Their loss.

Tickets will go on sale at hkticketing.com next Monday, priced from HKD488 to HKD1,888.
