A video of a woman beating her boyfriend on Fa Yuen Street in Mong Kok has gone viral, reports Apple Daily.
The video, filmed in the early hours of Tuesday by neighbours woken up by the shouting, shows a young baseball-cap-wearing man grovelling and crying as his girlfriend repeatedly pushes him away, kicks and hits him.
The original video is seven minutes long, but Apple Daily has made a one-and-a-half-minute-long “highlights” version.
In the video she yells “Don’t touch me!” and kicks him in the chest after he tries to grab her.
Twice she kicks his head into the ground as he lies there begging.
“Eat shit, asshole!” she yells as she kicks his head another time.
“Keep crying… go jump off a building!” she also screams.
Throughout the video the man continues to cry and to beg, pleading with her to not leave, and repeatedly trying to embrace her.
Eventually he appears to give up and the two walk away from each other.
At the time of writing, Apple Daily’s video has been liked over 6,600 times and has been shared almost 12,000 times.
It’s not the first time a video of a woman beating a man has gone viral in Hong Kong. In 2013, a 20-year-old woman was arrested when she was filmed repeatedly slapping her boyfriend on the street.
