The year of 1994 was laced with some pretty dark events. Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain killed himself, American football player O.J. Simpson definitely didn’t kill his wife, and Schindler’s List was the film of the moment.
However, alcohol was FRICKING CHEAP in comparison, which almost makes up for all that nastiness.
So that everyone can commiserate about their closing later this month, Wan Chai’s famous Irish pub Delaney’s is winding back the clock and selling all standard drinks at the prices they opened with in 1994.
The pub on the corner of Luard Road and Jaffe Road has been forced to close after 21 years as the owners can no longer afford the rent.
The offer stands until August 13 when Delaney’s will close its doors for good.
This is one of those “yay!”, “boo!” kind of stories, in case you were confused.
